Nigerian Doctor, Ezinne Nnamdi Speaks On Insomnia
Nigerian Doctor and founder of Healthy Wealthy Ng, Ezinne Nnamdi speaks on the effects of lack of quality sleep.
According to her, spending hours on bed is not a prerequisite for a healthy sleep, sleep is not determined by quantity but quality.
She also outlined some symptoms which poses as a sign of insomnia when one encounters difficulties with sleep.
Some people think it’s when they stay in bed for at least 6 hours, then they’ve slept well. Others think if you sleep less than 8 hours, you aren’t sleeping well.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, if you are caught up with any of these below, there’s problem with your sleep, otherwise known as insomnia.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Quality of sleep matters..⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Difficultly getting to sleep( you toss in your bed, yet no sleep)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Difficultly sustaining sleep( you can wake up several times checking the time, like someone that has important interview coming up)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Early wakening⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Sleep that doesn’t refresh you( this means you feel tired during the day, poor concentration, mood disturbance)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
