Militias Wreak Havoc In Benghazi, Exchange Heavy Fire In Densely Populated Area In Libya
No less than four individuals were killed and two others truly injured after furious conflicts using light and medium weapons burst out up Al-Majuri neighbourhood of Benghazi on Wednesday night.
The conflicts are accounted for to have begun because of a debate between two nearby tribes; Al-Barasi family and Al-Msallaty family.
Neighborhood reports said a child of Al-Barasi family is someone from Al-Saiqa force, while a child from Al-Msallaty family is a member of the notorious Sahawat warriors; both are rebel volunteer armies under Khalifa Haftar’s self-styled army (LNA).
Gunfire was heard in many parts of the city. Observers affirmed that minutemen from Al-Saiqa joined the tribal battling to help their partner, while the Sahawat warriors from the neighbouring locale were brought in to shield their Al-Msallaty droog.
“Four houses for Al-Msallaty family were razed down by Saiqa force,” the eyewitness said.
The battling caused freeze among inhabitants of Al-Majuri neighborhood, while many yelled “Where is the armed force?”
