GOV. WIKE FLAGS OFF THE CONSTRUCTION OF ISIODU ROAD, ASSURES EMOLGA PEOPLE OF MORE PROJECTS.
It was a fanfare on Saturday 10th March 2018 as indigenes and non-indigenes alike trooped out en’masse to welcome Mr Project, His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Governor of Rivers State as he flagged off the Construction of Isiodu Internal Roads in Emohua Local Government Area.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, His Excellency declared that the Rivers State Government will carry out more projects and infrastructural development in Emohua Local Government Area.
The Governor however charged the Construction company to expedite action and deliver the road within a specified time.
His Excellency took a swipe at the recently passed Neighbourhood Watch Bill waiting for Governor’s assent, stating that the Neighbourhood Watch will be signed into law, stressing that it will enhance security and create employment for Rivers Youths when established.
The Governor thanked the people of Emohua Local Government for their warm reception.
The Commissioner for Works, Hon. Dum Deekor assured Isiodu people that the road will be constructed with standard materials and would be delivered within time.
The CTC Chairman of EMOLGA, Chief Godspower Nwonka, in his welcome address commended the Governor for awarding the Construction of Isiodu Internal Roads to a renowned construction company (Julius Barger).
The Council Chairman re-assured His Excellency, of the continuous and unflinching support of EMOLGA people to his re-election bid come 2019.
